Summary

Job Summary

Develops and implements educational programs for the prenatal population.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Presents educational classes to expectant parents that include prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and care of infant.
  • Assesses learning needs of patient and family; provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
  • Maintains knowledge of current practices in maternity services and changes in labor/delivery processes and technology.
  • Participates in community outreach programs targeting prenatal population.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience required
  • RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND
  • BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position
